Nike has partnered with Garmin for a new running watch. The goal for Nike is to provide athletes with better performance feedback, hence, the partnership with Garmin, a company that is known for its GPS technology. The two companies recently outed the Forerunner 235 GPS Running Watch, a product that’s meant to help the runners out there with navigation and with monitoring of stats, among other functions.
The Forerunner 235 caters to the active runners with its range of features that include heart rate monitoring and a prediction function for distance, pace, recovery advice and race. The watch also has the ability to sync running data to a Nike+ profile so it effectively connects users to a global community of runners. With its other features like text notifications and weather updates, the Forerunner 235 actually falls in the smartwatch category. Calling it as such probably won’t be a mistake.
The Forerunner 235 from Nike and Garmin will be available in black and volt colors. It has a price tag of $329.99.
