One of the Philippine phone brands that’s really aggressive in pushing new Android devices is SKK Mobile. The brand’s relatively new in the local mobile scene but it has several products already out in the market. They are mostly rebrands of hardware found in other countries but this not a new strategy. Other phone brands like Cherry Mobile, MyPhone, Torque and DTC are also doing the same thing.
One of the new devices from SKK Mobile is the Extreme, a 10-inch tablet that runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The hardware specs are not meant to impress but for the tablet’s P6,999 price, you’ll get a fairly acceptable deal. The main specs of the SKK Mobile Extreme include a 1.3GHz dual core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage with microSD support up to 32GB, 5-megapixel main camera with LED flash, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front camera and 6000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS.
The SKK Mobile Extreme is capable of sending text messages and making calls and can handle a regular mini-SIM, with a secondary micro-SIM to boot.
