Samsung has a new tablet called Galaxy View. It’s not your usual tablet since it packs a huge display. We’re used to seeing tablets with display sizes of 7 to 10 inches but the Galaxy View breaks the norm with its 18.4-inch display. With this size, the Galaxy View is practically a TV, not a tablet. But let’s not tell Samsung what products it should make. After all, Samsung is one of the more innovative companies around. If you don’t agree with this statement, just try to recall who made phablets, or huge phones, popular. Back when the iPhone was sporting a 3.5-inch display, Samsung came out with the Galaxy Note.
The Samsung Galaxy View is headed to the Philippines
Now back to the Samsung Galaxy View. This tablet is obviously meant to be a portable display. I’m sure there are people out there who would want a huge tablet, otherwise, Samsung would not have created something like the Galaxy View. Time will tell how successful the Galaxy View would be. If the Galaxy View sells tons of units, I’m sure we’ll see copycats very soon.
Samsung Galaxy View from different angles
For main specs, the Samsung Galaxy View runs on a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and has storage options of 32GB or 64GB. It is powered by a 5700mAh battery, which is hopefully huge enough to carry this tablet through hours of use. The display on the Samsung Galaxy View should make owners happy since it’s a full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution.
