When we hear the name Polariod, we think of cameras. The company has changed in recent years, however, as we’ve seen it venture into other devices like tablets. Yes, tablets.
The newest tablets from the company run the latest Android version which, of course, is KitKat. But apart from this fact, there appears to be nothing else to be excited about, especially if you are a gadget afficionado. Polariod launched three tablets at CES2014 – the Q7, the Q8 and the Q10. As you may have already guessed, the Polariod Q7 is a 7-inch tablet while the Polariod Q8 sports an 8-inch display. The Polariod Q10 is of course the biggest and offers a 10-inch screen.
Details are scarce at this point but Polaroid proudly claims that the Q7, Q8 and Q10 run on “super fast quad-core processors”. It also offers extended battery life, HDMI, Bluetooth and front mounted speakers. If you look at the designs, however, they don’t quite stand well against the iPads or other Android tablets for that matter. I for one will not purchase any of these Polaroid tablets. But to each his own. What’s good about the Polariod Q7, Q8 and Q10 is the pricing. These tablets are priced at between $129 and $179.
There’s no telling if the Polariod Q7, Q8 and Q10 will be sold in the Philippines.
