One of the most talked-about topic in social networking sites is the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines plane carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew. Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was reported to have lost contact with air traffic controllers while it was on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. The flight was operating a Boeing B777-200 aircraft which left Kuala Lumpur at 12.21 a.m. and was expected to arrive in Beijing at around 6.30 a.m.
Reports say that from 14 nationalities were among the 227 passengers. No Philippine nationals were reported to be in the missing flight. Records say that the nationalities on board include 152 Chinese, 38 Malaysians, seven Indonesians, six Australians, five Indians, four French and three Americans.
Malaysia Airlines has a safety good record among airlines in the region but the latest incident will certainly affect its status. There are still no definitive reports as to whether Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has been found but rescue efforts have been launched by different governments including the Philippines.
