Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
Apart from the excellent Mi Pad 2 tablet, Xiaomi also recently took the wraps off a new phone, the Redmi Note 3. Consistent with the design signature of the Mi Pad 2, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 also boasts of a unibody metal casing.
Capitalizing on Android’s new fingerprint sensor capabilities, the Redmi Note 3 features one and it is conveniently placed at the back of the phone. This is the first phone from Xiaomi to include a fingerprint sensor and definitely not the last.

The main hardware specs of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 make it capable daily workhorse. The phone packs 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2.0 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage, 13-megapixel rear camera and 400mAh battery. Yes, 4000mAh battery, which is huge as far as phone batteries go. Despite the huge battery, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 still managed to be thin, coming in at only 8.65 mm thin and weighing just 164 grams.
The fingerprint sensor is located at the back
The best thing about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the price. A unit with the above-mentioned configuration is priced at $140 (about Php7,000 in Philippines) while a variant with 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB storage and a faster 2.2 GHz Helio X10 CPU is priced at $172 (about Php8,500 in Philippine peso).
There’s no word yet on the pricing and availability of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 in the Philippines.
