Xiaomi had a hit with the Redmi or “Red Rice” Android phone. The cheap phone helped Xiaomi expand internationally, but sadly that excludes the Philippines. Xiaomi now has a follow-up to the Redmi and it’s a bigger phone with better specs. Pricing details will most likely be the same.
The new phone has no name yet but specs have been revealed. It feature a 5.5-inch, 720p IPS display, 1.4GHz or 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 13-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel front shooter and an expandable internal storage. The phone will run Android 4.2.2.
Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Redmi sequel in April.
