Luxury phones seldom come but when they do, there’s always something unusual being offered to justify the price tag. Tag Heuer is the latest brand to release a phone and it’s called Meridiist Infinite. The interesting thing about this Tag Heuer phone is its soalr charging panel under its display that gives it sort of an infinite power source. Tag Heuer describes it as the “World’s first perpetual power reserve mobile phone.”
The phone has a Wysips panel between the glass and the display where the cells automatically charge the battery when they’re exposed to light. Apart from the solar charging display, the Tag Heuer Meridiist Infinite doesn’t offer much in terms of hardware specs and mobile OS. The phone packs a small 2.4-inch, 320 x 240 pixel display and a 5-megapixel camera. It’s built tough, however, as it is made of grade 5 titanium with carbon fiber inserts.
Only 1,911 Merediist Infinite phones will be produced and the price is a staggering $5,500.
