Sony has officially lifted the lid off its newest flagship Android device, the Xperia Z2. The new smartphone has been widely rumored so it’s nice to see the phone being officially confirmed. The Xperia Z2 looks like the Xperia Z1, which means that in the looks department, nothing much has been changed by Sony. But in most respects, especially the internals, the Xperia Z2 is a much better smartphone.
The Sony Xperia Z2 finally has a good screen.
The Sony Xperia Z2 features a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) Triluminos display, a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (with microSD support) and a 3,200mAh battery. The camera used on the Xperia Z2 is the same but it is now capable of 4K recording. The Xperia Z2 packs a 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS main camera but the front shooter has a slightly better 2.2-megapixel sensor.
The Sony Xperia Z2 has IP58 waterproof certification. Details on pricing and availability are still unavailable at this point. This should hit the Philippines almost the same time it becomes available internationally.
