Sony recently announced a crop of new Xperia handsets. Apart from the 4.3-inch Xperia Z1 Compact and the 6-inch Xperia T2 Ultra, Sony also unveiled the mid-tier Xperia E1, a Walkman-based Android handset that offers a big speaker.
For main specs, the Sony Xperia E1 offers a 4-inch display with 800 x 480 resolution, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage with microSD slot for expansion, 3-megapixel rear camera, HSPA+ connectivity, 100Db speaker and 1,700 mAh battery. The Xperia E1 will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Just like the T2 Ultra, the Xperia E1 will be offered in a dual-SIM configuration called Xperia E1 Dual. The Sony Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual will be available in the first quarter of 2012 but pricing details have not been revealed yet. It’s availability in the Philippines has also not been announced yet.
