The next Galaxy Note from Samsung is just around the corner. The grand reveal is scheduled on August 23 but rumors have since depicted a device that should be worth the excitement of consumers. We all know that the Galaxy Note 7 suffered a sad fate, thanks to its exploding battery. It would have been my phone but the battery fiasco has prevented me from getting one. After the madness that was the Galaxy Note 7, we should expect that Samsung has learned its lessons and that it will be giving us a Galaxy Note that is safe from unexpected explosions.
Based on details gathered from leaks all over the internet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 should have a 6.4-inch Infinity Display with 4K resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, dual 12MP cameras, an S Pen with built-in speaker, an iris scanner and a 3,500mAh battery. These are arguably awesome features and let’s hope that they can be properly experienced by consumers.
To help drive up the hype on the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung has released a couple of promotional videos. They tease the Galaxy Note 8 without revealing much. The first video shows off the phone’s camera and the second, the S Pen.
The first video shows the Galaxy Note 8’s ability to enhance the bokeh effect of captured photos. This feature could be Samsung’s answer to the portrait effect on the iPhone 7 Plus. The video also shows the Galaxy Note 8’s optical zoom.
The second video possibly relates to the Galaxy Note 8’s S Pen.
