Nokia X to Launch in the Philippines on March 11

The Nokia X is the first Android-running device from the Finnish company.   The phone was launched at Mobile World Congress 2014 and it was one of the surprise launches at the event.  The phone runs a forked version of Android, which means that it does not run Google Play Store and does not have the usual Android UI.  It is actually a mix of Android and Windows Phone.

In the Philippines, the Nokia X will launch on March 11 based on the invite we received from Nokia Philippines.

The invite does not directly mention Nokia X but all indications are there.  The invite reads:

Have you eXperienced life in the fast lane? Make sure you GO! to the official Philippine launch of Nokia’s newest device.

Then the green color is predominant in the invite’s layout, clearly pertaining to Android.  Pricing and availability of the Nokia X will surely be unveiled at the event.  The Nokia X+ and Nokia XL, the other Android phones unveiled by Nokia at MWC 2014, will not launch until the second quarter of 2014.

Watch out for Nokia X updates on this blog.
