Octa-core battle: Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z2 vs. Starmobile Diamond X1 vs. MyPhone Agua Infinity

Local phone brands have started to launch octa-core phones.  Starmobile started the race with the introduction of the 6-inch Diamond X1.  It was followed by Cherry Mobile when it introduced the 5-inch Cosmos Z2. The latest to join the octa-core war is MyPhone and its entry is the 5-inch Agua Infinity.  These phones all run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean so if you’re looking for a KitKat device, better make sure if the octa-core phone you’re picking will have an official KitKat update in the future.

Which of the current octa-core phones is the best?  We can compare the specs at this point and based on this comparison, it appears that the Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z2 is the winner by a hairline, although any of these phones can be a good choice.  The Cosmos Z2 has the best set of specs overall and it has the cheapest price so far.  Of course if you want a big display, the Diamond X1 is the only option as the Cosmos Z2 and the Agua Infinity both have 5-inch displays whereas the Diamond X1 offers a huge 6-inch screen.  The Agua Infinity has no storage expansion slot and it has lower specced cameras but if it is priced considerably low, it can be more compelling than the two other octa-core phones.
