Urbanears is one the the audio brands I love. Its products are innovative yet affordable and they look great to boot. The company has stayed quiet since 2013 when the Kransen was released in 2013. But very recently, Urbanears has launched a new product called Sumpan.
The Urbanears Sumpan are earbuds. These are meant to be placed on the ear, not inside. If you are like me who abhors in-ear headphones for the discomfort they bring, you may want to watch out for the release of the Urbanears Sumpan in the Philippines.
In true Urbanears fashion, the Sumpan brings with it innovation in design. These headphones have minimal design but they offer something unique to the users. For instance, the Urbanears Sumpan has a hook-shaped design that allows the earbuds to be joined together when not in use. This makes it easy to just keep the headphones on the users neck like a necklace instead of placing it in your bag.
The Sumpan also has CableLoop which can be used to keep the cable looped and locked when stored.
Other features of the Urbanears Sumpan include built-in mic and remote and Kevlar reinforcement.
What’s surprising is that the Urbanears Sumpan is priced at only $30, or about Php1,500 in Philippine peso. Considering that Urbanears has a considerable presence in the Philippines, the Suman earphones will most likely be available in shops in the Philippines soon.
