The subcompact crossover market in the Philippines is growing, thanks to models like the Ford EcoSport, the Subaru XV and the Honda H-RV. Naturally, new models are joining the fray like the funky Nissan Juke and the elegant-looking Mazda CX-3.
The Nissan Juke has been one of the top subcompact crossovers in other markets and has been available internationally for quite some time now. It’s been actually sold in other markets for too long I actually thought Nissan will not be bringing this car over to the Philippines. The good news is, Nissan recently announced that it will be selling the Juke in the country and we will therefore see a lot of this aggressive-looking vehicle in Manila traffic. The other good news is, it is priced under P1 Million – P980,000 to be exact. At this price, the Juke will definitely be a hot-selling model in the Philippines once it becomes available in January 2016.
Nissan Philippines announced that the Juke will only be available in one variant for now, which is the 4×2 CVT variant powered by a 1.6-liter HR16DE gasoline engine rated at 114hp and 154Nm. The Juke’s engine will feature Nissan’s Xtronic CVT transmission.
The Nissan Juke will be available in four colors, namely Red Alert, Solar Yellow, Pearl White and Black Obsidian. That’s fancy talk for red, yellow, white and black.
