Canon EOS 1200D (Rebel T5) Announced

Canon just released the Canon EOS 1200D, a new entry level DSLR that replaces the 1100D.  The new model is also called the Rebel T5 in other countries.  The Canon 1200D is priced at USD549 and will be available starting next month.

In terms of specs, the Canon 1200D isn’t much of an upgrade compared to the Canon 1100D.  The only major upgrades are the improved 3-inch display and 18MP sensor.  The body is essentially the same, save for the addition of a rubberized thumb rest and the rearranged buttons.
