Google Lowers Price of Apps in the Philippines

android

Android users know that the minimum price for paid apps on the Google Play store is Php43, which is the equivalent of $0.99 apps in other countries.  Google has however made a very welcome change to app pricing on Google Play.  Instead of forking out Php43, Android users will be seeing Php15 apps soon.  To most users in the Philippines, Php43 is still too much for a paid app considering that most of the useful apps are available for free.  With the change in pricing, it will now be easier for most users to try paid apps from the Google Play store.

The recent change in pricing is reportedly a result of the successful pilot run by Google in India.  The pricing change will be effective in 17 countries all in all. Here is the full price list below the fold with their US dollar conversations.
