Apple has already started its iOS 11 push and if you’re an iPhone or iPad owner, you can now download the update on your device, expect of course if your device is no longer being supported. iOS 11 is the latest mobile operating system release for Apple and it brings with it quite a few notable changes to iOS.
iOS 11 Features
iOS 11 appears to be another incremental refresh from Apple but when you look at the new features and other changes it is bringing to iOS, you will realize that iOS 11 is an important update. Your update notification will let you know that iOS 11 will bring new features to iPhone and iPad including a new App Store, an improved Siri, changes to camera and Photos and the addition of augmented reality features, among others. iOS 11 also has updated the screenshot capture and editing and a new Control Center, which now has more features and is also customizable.
iOS 11 for the iPad will get additional features like a new multitasking feature that now easily bring two apps into split-screen mode. Now, even a third now can be added to the screen. iPad will also get a new File app that allows for easier management of files, like letting users drag and drop photos and text from one app to another.
Compatible iPhone and iPad Models
There is no question that iOS 11 is better than previous iterations. However, there are some that still prefer previous iOS versions, especially those who do not want to let go of the on-screen unlock button, a feature that is in fact already missing since iOS 10. For most iOS device users, there is really nothing to think about. Upgrade is free anyway and you’re assured of the best and latest from Apple, including the necessary security patches.
